Hope in Action/Answers

He provided the way out. Love does not force.

Why Would a Loving God Send People to Hell?

The question assumes God is eager to damn. Look at the cross and that picture falls apart. A Father who would rather die than lose you is not hunting for reasons to send you away. Hell is what love looks like when it honors a real no. He will not kidnap you into heaven.

Sending is the wrong verb for people who will not come

Jesus said He is the way. He also said people love darkness rather than light. That is not God slamming a door. That is people refusing a door that was opened at infinite cost. Free will is a gift. Gifts can be rejected.

If there is no hell, the cross was theater. If there is no choice, love is a slogan. Scripture gives you both a real warning and a real Savior.

“And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”

John 3:19 (NKJV)

The Father’s will is rescue

He is not willing that any should perish. Jesus came to seek and save the lost. The Spirit is still drawing. The church is still announcing the way home. That is not the behavior of a God who wants a crowded hell.

If this question is really “Can I trust Him?”, look at Jesus. Then receive the way He made. Church Four Eighteen will not use fear as a gimmick. We will tell you the truth and offer you a Father.

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”

2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV)
