It is real. It was not made for you.
Is Hell Real?
Hell is not a scarecrow invented to fill seats. Jesus talked about it more clearly than most modern pulpits do. It is also not God’s hobby. Matthew 25 says the everlasting fire was prepared for the devil and his angels. People end up there by refusing the life God provided, not because the Father delights in damnation.
Jesus did not treat hell as a metaphor
He spoke of outer darkness, of a fire, of a place where people can be lost. He also wept over a city that would not come. Those two things belong together. A surgeon who will not name cancer is not kinder than one who will. A Savior who will not name hell is not more loving than Jesus.
The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Separation from God is the end of that theft. It is not the Father’s dream for a single human soul.
“Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.”
Matthew 25:41 (NKJV)

God is not willing that any perish
Second Peter 3:9 is the Father’s heart: longsuffering, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Hell is real because love and justice are real. It is not a trap God set. It is what remains when a person will not receive the way out He already made.
You do not have to live afraid of a Father who is trying to catch you. You can receive the Son who came to catch you. That invitation is still open.
“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”
2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV)
