Is Genesis History?
Del Tackett’s film Is Genesis History? asked a question a lot of church kids were never allowed to ask out loud: did these things actually happen, or are they true the way a poem is true? If Genesis is only a mood, then Jesus is a solution to a metaphor. If Genesis is history, then sin entered through a man, death followed, and another Man had to undo it.
Jesus did not treat Genesis as optional scenery
He quoted “male and female He created them” as the foundation of marriage. He spoke of Noah and the flood as a real warning. Luke’s genealogy runs Jesus back to Adam. Paul builds Romans 5 on one man who fell and one Man who rose. That is a historical argument, not a TED Talk.
Is Genesis History? follows scientists and scholars who look at rock layers, fossils, and the text and say: this reads as a record. We agree. God created. It was good. A real rebellion broke a real world.

If the first Adam was real, the last Adam can actually save you
A mythical fall cannot be answered by a real cross. That is why this is not a side debate. New creation only makes sense if the old creation was actually wounded.
Bring the questions. We will not mock a scientific mind. We also will not edit Genesis to fit a closed system that has no Father in it.
