Hope in Action/Answers
If they were a myth, the gospel is a solution to a story problem.
Were Adam and Eve Real People?
It is fashionable to keep “the idea of Adam” and drop the man. Paul will not let you. Through one man sin entered. Through one Man came righteousness. If the first couple is a parable, Romans 5 is a parable too, and you are still in your sins. Del Tackett’s Is Genesis History? is useful here because it refuses the polite split: science over there, Bible as metaphor over here. Genesis is talking about your family line.
Luke ran the genealogy all the way back
The Gospel does not stop at Abraham as if the earlier chapters were decoration. Luke goes to Adam, “the son of God.” Jesus is the last Adam — a title that only works if the first one occupied space and time.
You were not produced by a nameless process that accidentally grew a conscience. You come from a Father who made a man, a woman, a garden, and a choice.
“For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.”
1 Corinthians 15:22 (NKJV)

The last Adam already walked out of a grave
That is the hope. Real fall, real Redeemer. New creation is not a self-help rebrand. It is God doing in you what He did in the garden, only better — a life that cannot be forfeited by a piece of fruit because it is the life of His Son.
If you have felt like a cosmic accident, come hear your actual origin story.
“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.”
Romans 5:19 (NKJV)
