Hope in Action/Answers
Space, time, and matter are not self-explanatory.
Did God Create the Universe?
If the universe is all there is, then it has to explain itself. It cannot. A system of space, time, and matter that had a start date needs a cause that is not made of space, time, and matter. Scripture called that Cause God long before anyone named a telescope.
Whatever begins to exist has a cause
The cosmological case is not a church slogan. It is basic reason. Nothing does not produce something. An eternal universe was a popular story for a while. The evidence did not cooperate. The cosmos had a beginning.
Genesis 1:1 is therefore not anti-science. It is the only kind of first sentence that can actually bear the weight of a universe. In the beginning, God created.
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
Genesis 1:1 (NKJV)

The Creator is the Word — and He came near
John 1 says all things were made through the Word. The One who spoke galaxies is not a distant architect. He became flesh. Creation is not only about origins. It is about a Father who wanted a family, not a museum.
You are not a cosmic leftover. You are wanted. If the size of the universe has made you feel small, let the incarnation correct the scale: God did not think you were too small to come for.
“All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.”
John 1:3 (NKJV)
