Positive Halloween Ideas
Some families ignore the day. Some redeem the porch. Scripture does not tell you to celebrate fear, and it does not tell you to hide from your neighbors. Walk in the Spirit. Be wise. Be kind.
Do not partner with darkness
Ephesians 5 says have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. You do not need gore, the occult, or a night that catechizes your kids in fear.
You also do not need to attack families on your sidewalk. Light is more persuasive than a lecture.

Be the house that blesses
A warm porch, a church harvest night, a simple conversation with a neighbor — that can look like Luke 4:18 on your street. If you are unsure, ask God for wisdom. He gives it without shaming you.
