Hope in Action/Real Life
Heat in the chest is not the same as a hard heart.
Anger
Anger can be a flare over injustice. It can also be a fire that burns the people closest to you. Neither version surprises the Father. He is not asking you to pretend you are calm. He is inviting you to bring the heat into the light before it becomes a home.
Feel it. Do not enthrone it.
Ephesians 4 does not say “never feel anger.” It says do not let it write the next chapter. Unresolved anger gives the devil a foothold — not because you are weak, but because secrecy is his favorite room.
You can tell the truth: this is rage, this is grief with teeth, this is a wound that never got a witness. Then you can refuse to let it preach.
““Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.”
Ephesians 4:26-27 (NKJV)

A sound mind is a gift, not a personality type
God has not given you a spirit of fear — or a spirit that has to explode to be heard. Power, love, and a sound mind are already yours in Christ. Sometimes wisdom also looks like a counselor, an apology, and a Saturday gathering where nobody makes you perform peace you do not have yet.
Come sit with us. Send a prayer request if the house is too loud tonight.
“So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.”
James 1:19-20 (NKJV)
