Hope in Action/Real Life
This is not the end of their story — or yours.
A Difficult Teen
The child who used to tell you everything now answers in a grunt. Maybe it is worse than a grunt. You are not the first parent to pray with a knot in your stomach. God is not wringing His hands over your teenager.
Identity is louder than behavior — eventually
Keep telling them who they are, not only what they did. The Word over them still works when they roll their eyes. Stay available. Stay consistent. Do not match their chaos with yours.
Fear will make you control. Faith will make you stand, pray, and keep the door open.
“All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.”
Isaiah 54:13 (NKJV)
You need backup
Youth ministry, other believing adults, and a church that knows their name can reach a teenager who cannot hear you this year. That is not failure. That is the body of Christ.
Come. Bring them even if they sit with their arms crossed. We have room for that.
“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)
You do not have to figure this out alone
Come sit with people who are living this out.
Church Four Eighteen is a family in Titusville learning to receive what Jesus already finished — and to put hope in action. Saturdays at 5:00 PM. Kids are welcome. Come as you are.
