Hope in Action/Answers

A journalist set out to disprove Jesus. The evidence converted him.

What Is the Case for Christ?

Skeptics have spent years trying to take the story of Jesus apart. The case that remains is public: the Gospels, the medical reality of crucifixion, the manuscripts, the archaeology, and the resurrection. People do not become Christians only because it is comforting. Many come because the case will not close the other way.

Four E’s that still sit on the table

The resurrection evidence can be gathered under four words that start with E. Execution: Jesus was dead — Romans were good at it, and even hostile sources agree He was crucified. Early accounts: the 1 Corinthians 15 creed is too soon to be legend. Empty tomb: even the opposition explained the emptiness; they did not deny it. Eyewitnesses: named people and groups, including 500 at once, plus hostile conversions like James and Paul.

You can dislike the conclusion. You have to do something with the facts.

“And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty.”

1 Corinthians 15:14 (NKJV)

A verdict is personal

The last move is not a footnote. It is a decision. The evidence can take you to the doorway. Jesus still says, “Follow Me.” At Church Four Eighteen we will not bully you into a mood. We will put the case on the table and introduce you to the Man it is about.

Come this Saturday. Bring the inner skeptic. He is welcome.

“Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.””

John 20:27 (NKJV)
