Hope in Action/Answers
God is just — and Jesus is still the way.
What About Those Who Have Never Heard of Jesus?
This question usually comes from a tender conscience, not a smug one. If Jesus is the only way, what about the person who never got a Bible, a missionary, or a church? God is not less just than you are.
God is already seeking
Acts 17 says God appointed our times and boundaries so that we might seek Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. John 1 says Jesus is the true Light who gives light to every person coming into the world. No one is born into a universe where God is absent.
People are judged by the light they have and the response of their heart — not by a test they never received. The Judge of all the earth will do right. You can trust His character even where your map runs out.
“So that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.”
Acts 17:27 (NKJV)
The question turns toward us
The existence of unreached people is not an argument against the gospel. It is an argument for going. Jesus did not say, “They’ll figure it out.” He said, “Go.” Hope in action means we take the name of Jesus to streets in Titusville and to the ends of the earth.
You do not have to solve every edge case before you can trust Him for yourself. Receive the light you have. Then help someone else see.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
Matthew 28:19 (NKJV)
You do not have to figure this out alone
Come sit with people who are living this out.
Church Four Eighteen is a family in Titusville learning to receive what Jesus already finished — and to put hope in action. Saturdays at 5:00 PM. Kids are welcome. Come as you are.
