Creation is a gift. It is not the Giver.
Is the Universe God?
Pantheism can feel spiritual. Sunsets become sacraments. You are told everything is divine, including you. It sounds poetic until you need a Father who can actually speak, forgive, and raise the dead. A universe that is God cannot love you. It can only include you. Those are not the same.
Genesis starts with a line pantheism cannot say
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Creator. Creation. Two categories. Romans 1 warns about exchanging the truth of God for the worship of created things. That exchange is still on offer — with better branding.
You can love the world as His artwork. You cannot pray to the artwork as if it made itself. The heavens declare His glory. They are not His body.

You need a God who is other than the pain
If the universe is God, then cancer is God, and so is the thief. That is not comfort. That is confusion. The gospel says God is good, the world is broken, and Jesus came into the world to redeem it — which only works if He is not identical with the mess.
Come meet the Maker. Church Four Eighteen will not ask you to hug the cosmos. We will introduce you to a Father.
