If you want to know what God is like, look at Him.
Is Jesus God?
This is the question that divides a nice teacher from a Savior. If Jesus is only admirable, you can take His advice and leave His claims. If He is God in the flesh, then everything He said about the Father, about you, and about the cross is the truth you were made for.
The New Testament does not leave this fuzzy
John 1 says the Word was God, and the Word became flesh. Colossians says in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Thomas looked at the risen Jesus and said, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus received that worship. A mere prophet would have stopped him.
He is not a second deity competing with the Father. He is the Son — the exact representation of the Father’s nature. Look at Jesus, and you are looking at God’s heart.

If He is God, then God is as good as Jesus
That is not a slogan. It is the end of a lot of fear. Jesus healed. Jesus forgave. Jesus never made anyone sick to teach them a lesson. The Father is not a different personality hiding behind the Son.
You can trust Him. You can receive Him. Church Four Eighteen worships Jesus as Lord — not as a mascot, and not as a maybe.
