Hope in Action/Answers
Unbelief is not the absence of faith. It is faith in the wrong story.
Does It Take More Faith to Be an Atheist?
Atheism likes to wear the lab coat and call everyone else superstitious. Look closer. To say there is no God, you have to believe that the universe popped into being from nothing, that life wrote itself, that mind came from mindless matter, and that moral outrage is just chemistry with opinions. That is not a small stack of assumptions.
Nothing in, nothing out
Put simply: given a universe with a beginning, coded information in DNA, consciousness, and a moral law we cannot shake, it takes more trust to say “it all just happened” than to say “Someone is there.”
Faith in God is trust based on evidence. Faith in no-God is often a decision to stop looking once the questions get personal. You are allowed to keep looking.
“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.”
Romans 1:20 (NKJV)

The better question is which faith is warranted
Everybody trusts something. The issue is whether your trust matches reality. Christians trust a risen Jesus with documents, witnesses, and a church that should have collapsed if the body had been produced. That is not a smaller leap than “nobody times nothing equals everything.”
If you have been told that doubt is intellectual and faith is emotional, come sit under teaching that honors both your mind and your heart. God is not afraid of either.
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)
