He so loved the world — not a shortlist.

Does God Love Everyone?

Some pictures of God shrink His love into a tiny club. Some pictures make love so vague it never asks you to change. Scripture does neither. God loved the world. Christ died for all. That love is a person and an offer, not a stamp that ignores whether you ever say yes.

The world in John 3:16 is not a metaphor for a few

God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. Whoever believes is the door, not a secret guest list. Second Peter says He is not willing that any should perish. That is the Father’s heart. Free will means people can refuse a love that is truly offered.

Love that forces is not love. Love that withholds the invitation is not the gospel. He has already moved toward you.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

John 3:16 (NKJV)

Loved is not the same as automatically rescued

You can be loved and still need to receive. A gift sitting unopened is still a gift — and it is still unused. The Father’s love is not the same thing as universalism, and it is not the same thing as indifference toward sin.

If you have wondered whether you were the exception, you are not. Come receive what He already demonstrated. Church Four Eighteen will not make you earn a love that was given at a cross.

“In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”

1 John 4:9-10 (NKJV)
