You are not leaving voicemails for a distant boss.
Does God Hear My Prayers?
If prayer has felt like shouting down a well, you are not crazy for asking this. Silence can ache. The New Covenant answer is not “try harder to get His attention.” It is “you already have it.” Jesus taught you to start with Our Father, not with a password.
The Father is not hard of hearing
First John says if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. His will is not a hidden maze. It is revealed in His Word and in the finished work of Jesus. You are not trying to wake God up. You are agreeing with what He has already said.
Guilt will tell you He stopped listening. The blood of Jesus says otherwise. Your access is His performance, not yours.
“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”
1 John 5:14 (NKJV)

Pray from sonship, not from panic
Jesus said your Father knows what you need before you ask. So why ask? Because prayer is how children participate. It is how authority in the earth is exercised. It is relationship, not a briefing for an uninformed God.
If you do not know where to start, start honest. Then pray the Word. We will pray with you at C418 — not as a ritual, as a family.
“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”
Jeremiah 33:3 (NKJV)
