Hope in Action/Answers
He did not send a system. He sent a Son.
Can I Know God Personally?
Religion can teach you facts about God and still leave you lonely. Jesus did not come to start a lecture series. He came so you could know the Father the way a child knows a parent — by relationship, not by rumor. That is not a personality type. It is the point of the gospel.
Eternal life is a relationship with a name
John 17:3 does not define eternal life as endless church attendance. It is knowing the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom He sent. Know. Not merely agree. The Spirit is given so that you can cry, “Abba, Father,” from a new-creation heart.
You do not become impressive enough to get in the room. You receive Jesus, and the Father receives you. That is personal. That is the new birth.
“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
John 17:3 (NKJV)

He is already toward you
God is not waiting to see if you are interesting. He demonstrated His love while you were still a sinner. The invitation is not to perform intimacy. It is to respond to a love that moved first.
If God has felt like a concept, start talking to Him as Father. Open a Gospel. Come sit with people at Church Four Eighteen who expect Him to be knowable — Saturday, 5:00 PM, Rocket Town Church.
“For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.””
Romans 8:15 (NKJV)
