Making Thanksgiving Special
Some years the table is full. Some years a chair is empty. Thanksgiving is still possible because God is still good — not because the year was easy.
Thanks before you feel it
First Thessalonians 5:18 says in everything give thanks. That is not a command to pretend. It is a command to locate God in the middle of the year you actually had.
Speak His faithfulness out loud. Children remember what we rehearse.
“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Open the table
Invite someone who would eat alone. Then come worship with a church that thanks God for more than a harvest — we thank Him for a Savior.
Hope in action looks like a spare seat.
“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”
