Exploring Adoption or Foster Care
You do not have to be extraordinary to do this. You have to be called, supported, and honest about the cost. James calls pure religion this: to visit orphans in their trouble. That is Luke 4:18 in family form.
His idea first
You were adopted in Christ before you ever considered adopting a child. Ephesians 1 says He predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ. When you open your home, you are acting like your Father.
Count the cost. Get trained. Let a church family be your backup, not your audience.
“Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.”

Hope in action looks like a spare room
If you are in the asking stage, come talk. If you are in the thick of it, come rest. We will pray, celebrate, and help carry what is heavy.
