Hope in Action/Real Life

A wedding is a day. A covenant is a life.

Engaged & Getting Ready for Marriage

The dress, the venue, the playlist — none of that will hold you when you disagree about money at 11 p.m. Getting ready means becoming people who know how to receive love and give it.

Let Jesus be the pattern

Ephesians 5 is not a power play. It is a picture of Christ and the church — sacrificial love, honor, and two people who have first been loved by God. You cannot give what you have not received.

Talk about faith, money, family, conflict, and calling now. Hidden things do not get smaller after the ceremony.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her.

Ephesians 5:25 (NKJV)

Get community around the covenant

You need more than Pinterest. You need a church, mentors, and the habit of praying together before you need a miracle together.

We would be honored to walk with you — come this Saturday, stay after, and tell us you are preparing for a marriage, not just an event.

Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NKJV)
