Hope in Action/Answers
Jesus is not the problem with His people.
Why Are Christians Hypocrites and Judgmental?
If you have been wounded by a church person, we will not defend the wound. Hypocrisy is real. So is a Savior who never pretended. Do not let a bad representative talk you out of a good God.
The church is a hospital, not a showroom
Jesus did not come for people who had already arrived. He came for the sick. When Christians act like they are the standard instead of pointing to Him, it is ugly — and it is a betrayal of the gospel they claim.
Judgmental religion is usually performance dressed up as holiness. Grace produces humility. If someone used Jesus’ name to look down on you, that was not His heart.
“Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. … For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
Matthew 9:12-13 (NKJV)
Look at Jesus, then try a healthy church
Read the Gospels. Watch how He treats the woman at the well, the thief on the cross, the child, the skeptic. Then find a church that sounds like that. Church Four Eighteen is not a museum of finished people. We are a family learning to receive grace and extend it.
You can be honest about the church’s failures and still come home to Jesus. Those two things are not enemies.
“Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?”
Romans 2:4 (NKJV)
You do not have to figure this out alone
Come sit with people who are living this out.
Church Four Eighteen is a family in Titusville learning to receive what Jesus already finished — and to put hope in action. Saturdays at 5:00 PM. Kids are welcome. Come as you are.
